Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition and Optimization Specialist, reporting to the Talent Acquisition and Optimization Supervisor, is responsible for identifying, attracting, and onboarding top-tier freelance interpreters and translators. This role is critical for building a robust, high-quality network of independent contractors while using data-driven insights to ensure the interpreter pool remains lean, highly skilled, and optimized for maximum client fulfillment.

Duties and Responsibilities

● Strategic Sourcing: Proactively identify and attract qualified freelance interpreters and translators through diverse channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks, to meet specific language fulfillment needs.

● High-Standard Vetting: Conduct rigorous interviews and assessments to ensure all candidates meet the company’s quality, professional, and language proficiency standards.

● Onboarding and Compliance: Manage the onboarding process for new independent contractors, ensuring they understand all company policies and contractual agreements.

● Talent Pool Optimization: Collaborate with the Supervisor/Lead to monitor fulfillment rates and use data to identify gaps or surpluses in the interpreter network, making real-time adjustments to recruitment activities.

● Worker Classification Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on worker classification, educating internal teams and external talent on legal distinctions and compliance requirements.

● Data and Analytics: Track and analyze critical recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill and cost-per-hire, to identify trends and continuously improve the efficiency of the hiring process

● Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with team members across various departments to understand specific hiring needs and develop tailored recruitment plans that align with business objectives.

Skills and Qualifications

● 2+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or a similar high-volume role.

● Comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements for hiring and managing independent contractors.

● Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets; experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and with AI-driven recruitment tools is a plus.

● Ability to interpret recruitment data and metrics to prioritize tasks and improve sourcing outcomes.

● Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally to a diverse global talent base while building strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders
